A short history
We opened in 2019 with two shelves and a borrowed cash box. The street was quieter then. We learned early that a small shop can't stock everything, so we stock what we love and can talk about for ten minutes without notes.
No bestseller wall. No algorithm. If you ask "what should I read next?" we ask what you last couldn't put down, what annoyed you, and whether you like footnotes. Then we walk you to one shelf and pull one book.
We are not trying to be big. We are trying to be useful, a place where the right book finds you faster than scrolling would.
How we choose what to stock
Three rules: (1) Someone on staff has read it. (2) It earns its spine space; we'd re-read it. (3) It pairs well with at least two other books in the shop, so we can make a little trail for you.
